Privacy Policy

Workout Looper ("the App") is published by VorkApps. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Short answer: almost nothing. The App is designed to work entirely on your device.

• Video and audio files — loaded from your device or received via the share sheet. These files are processed locally and never uploaded to our servers.
• Workout data — segments, timings, settings, and history are stored in your device's local database (IndexedDB). We have no access to this data.
• Anthropic API key — if you use the AI segment detection feature, your API key is stored in encrypted local storage on your device. It is sent directly to Anthropic's API servers for AI analysis and is never transmitted to VorkApps.
• Video frames for AI analysis — when you use AI segment detection, sampled frames from your video are sent directly from your device to Anthropic's API. VorkApps does not see, store, or process these frames.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information (name, email, phone number)
• No account or login
• No analytics or tracking
• No cookies
• No advertising identifiers
• No location data
• No crash reports sent to us

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Anthropic API — used for AI-powered segment detection. Video frames are sent directly from your device to Anthropic. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Spotify — the App can embed a Spotify player for background music. Playback is handled entirely by Spotify's embedded player; we do not access your Spotify account data. See Spotify's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — your purchase is processed by the respective app store. We do not receive your payment details.

4. Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions:

• Storage / Media — to read video and audio files from your device and save recorded workout videos to your Downloads folder.
• Microphone — used only when you choose to record a workout set as a video. Never accessed otherwise.
• Internet — used only for AI analysis (Anthropic API) and Spotify playback. The App works fully offline for all other functions.
• Wake Lock — to keep the screen on during active workouts.

5. Data Storage and Security

All workout data, persisted audio files, and settings are stored locally on your device using the platform's standard storage mechanisms (IndexedDB, Capacitor Filesystem). No data is synced to any cloud service. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, no special provisions are needed.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
